Naoshige Akita is with the Department of Design Strategy, Faculty of Design, Kyushu University. His research interests include design engineering, Inclusive design, product design, interior design.
His current research focuses on solving social issues related to children’s medications. Specifically, he designed the jelly kit to assist children’s medications. He evaluated pill containers to prevent children’s accidental ingestion of pharmaceutical products. His current works are published in International Journal of Affective Engineering and Annual Design Review of Japanese Society for the Science of Design.
